Founded in January 2017, Principle Salon was created to provide superior haircuts and color in the healthiest environment possible; a high-end hair salon right in the heart of San Francisco's Mission District on 24th St at Folsom.
We’re committed to giving you effortlessly sophisticated hair with minimal impact on the environment by using the highest quality and lowest toxicity products. We specialize in low-toxic hair color and hair styling products creating an environment free of ammonia, aerosols, parabens and formaldehyde. With the assistance of a high-power HEPA air filter, the air in Principle Salon is truly safe to breathe.
A Green Salon
Living our principles in practice, the team at Principle Salon saves waterways and landfills from waste by working with Green Circle to responsibly recycle and reclaim used hair foils, used color tubes and excess hair color, in addition to composting hair clippings to mitigate climate change.

After over a decade of dedication towards her craft and low-toxic product research, Alx carved out a space in San Francisco that simultaneously provided the highest quality hair services while using the highest quality low-toxic products.
